“C is important for an IT company ! ” this sentence would have gone through ur heads now and then, but have u ever thought “is it that important?”
I do agree that C is important, its because it is considered as the basic for programming knowledge. But there are few ppl in our college (in our class) who thought C language as a theory subject and wrote FOC exam in 1st sem.
IT companies recruit ppl wit gud C knowledge. But there r few ppl from our college who got selected into companies without knowin C. whats botherin me is? they r paid 4.2 laks . and i couldnt make out why?
when i said “i think c is important !” i got an answer from the one who got selected “cha i think its not important for my company !” how can a person work without a programmin knowledge in an IT company?
what do u say??

hmm sad to see people like me who know c [:P] kicked out of interview in the ‘referred company’ while people wihout knowledge of c getting 4.2 lakhs .

no offense, but think of it this way, knowing C is like conveying ideas in Korean (nd not in your mother tongue). Korean can be learnt whilst inducing thinking is a bit of an effort.
